Christmas at Hansfords
As we get close to the festive season it’s good to know that your local butcher is now taking orders.
At Hansford's we feel that we know a “bit about Christmas!” We have seen over 40 Christmases come and go - that’s a lot of Christmas dinners!
We pride ourselves on sourcing local produce all year round with Christmas being no exception. We will as always have locally reared farm turkeys available and our usual free-range chickens, ducks and geese all from Cready Carver just across the border in Devon. Prime cuts of locally-produced beef are carefully aged so we get everything just right to produce a superb flavour and tenderness. Our pork is from local producers Prestige Pork and always gives a roast to remember. Our bacon and ham comes from our friends at Sandridge Farm who produce a fantastic product that hits the spot time and time again.
We have had to make a few changes to our ordering system and order forms this year due to Covid-19.
You will find an order form here on our web site (see below) or you can pick one up in the shop. Either way we will need a form completed and this will need to be either e-mailed to us or handed in at the shop. Once we have received your form an order number will be given to you. It would be helpful if you make a note of this number and have it with you on the day of collection. How to order and payment details are all on the order form.
With safety in mind we can assure you that we will have procedures in place for a speedy collection with safe distancing and sanitizing measures adhered to.
We realise that you may wish to discuss your order with us and with limited numbers allowed in the shop at any one time this could be a problem. So for the lead up to Christmas only we will be opening the Butchers counter on Sunday mornings from 9 am to 12 where there will be a chance for customers to place or discuss orders. We hope you will find this useful.Please note: Internet orders will only be accepted up until 5pm on Monday 19th December. If you wish to place an order after this you will need to visit the shop to fill out a form in person.
